Immortalising life. Preserving memories. -- Photographs capture moments, freeze them in place, and until they are destroyed shall the captured moments last for a long long time. It is as if those moments have become immortal, that life becomes timeless, even if the context has been lost.
My name is Wai Jack and I am a photography hobbyist who does mainly street photography, which I affectionately call it 'streetography'. I am a Singaporean so you will see my work from the streets of Singapore. I have only thus far travelled to England, Scotland, Malaysia, New Zealand and South Korea for photo-trips but I aim to have more trips around the world to make this page more complete.
I have some interest in wildlife photography as well but I don't go for such shoots regularly so my showcase in this genre is fairly limited. I also help out as a photographer for the company I work for.
I shoot with a Canon EOS R5 and EOS 7D Mark II with (in increasing focal length) Samyang 8mm f/3.5, RF 14-35mm f/4L, Samyang 16mm f/2, EF 17-40mm f/4L, EF 28mm f/2.8, Samyang 35mm f/1.4, EF 35mm f/2 IS USM, RF 50mm f/1.2L, EF 50mm f/1.4, EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6, Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 G2, EF 300mm f/4L (with 1.4x teleconverter) lenses. I occasionally use my Canon EOS 6D, Canon EOS M, Canon EOS 1 (film camera), and Canon AV-1 (film camera).
This site's name 'JKVLARCD STRTGRPHY' is the vowel-less spelling of 'Jackavle Arucard Streetography', inspired by Hebraic writing. Jackavle Arucard is my enigmatic moniker that I created. ‘Jackavle’ is an acronym for ‘Just A Crazy Knight: Angry, Vicious, Lunatic, Eccentric’ and ‘Arucard’ is a deliberate misspelling of ‘Alucard’, the moniker of Dracula in manga ‘Hellsing’.
